Shalom Japan is looking for a dynamic, passionate, hospitality professional to help lead our front of house team. The desired candidate must have cocktail, beer, wine, and sake knowledge as well as a passion for providing great guest experiences. Knowledge of Jewish and Japanese food and culture is a real plus. Full time and part time candidates will be considered. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking take the next step in their career and work in a collaborative, hands on environment with other passionate professionals.Shalom Japan is a twelve time recognized Michelin Bib Gourmand from James Beard Award winning authors and chefs, Sawako Okochi and Aaron Israel. We are a small, warm and inviting neighborhood and destination restaurant with a warmth and refined casual service. Job duties include making great guest connections, managing the floor and reservations on busy nights, training staff, and helping to manage the bar program and alcohol inventory. This is an opportunity to also grow into a larger management role for the right candidate. Attitude is more important than experience. This position is available to start immediately, or in the New Year.
